Start with the bed placement

Layer in soft lighting
Solid wood carving detail reads best under warm, angled light — a bedside lamp or wall sconce shows off hand-carved headboard detail far better than an overhead bulb alone.
The mistake to avoid
Don't mix a heavily carved traditional bed with a plain, unfinished modern wardrobe from a different source — pick one carving intensity (heavy, moderate, or minimal) and stay consistent across the room.
Finishing touch
A runner rug at the foot of the bed and matching curtain tone tie the room together without competing with the wood grain, which should stay the visual focus of the room.
