About lacquer and PU finishing
Hand polish looks warm but marks with hot cups and water. For dining tops, office desks and counters, a lacquer or PU finish is more practical.
We prepare the surface, spray the finish in controlled coats in the workshop, and offer matt, satin or gloss sheen.

Is PU better than hand polish?
For heavy-use surfaces, it is more resistant. For carved pieces, hand polish usually looks better.
Can PU be applied over old polish?
Not reliably. The old finish is removed first so the new coat bonds properly.
How long does re-polishing take?
A single piece usually takes 3 to 5 working days in the workshop. A full room set is quoted with a timeline before we start.
Can you match my other furniture?
Yes. We test the shade on a hidden area and show you before polishing the whole piece.
